Meet the therapist
Maria Ortiz Perez
I’m Maria Ortiz Pérez, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. I work with adolescents (ages 11–17) and adults who are seeking support with emotional, behavioral, relational, and life-transition challenges. I provide a warm, supportive, and culturally sensitive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to pursue healing and personal growth.
I am bilingual (English/Spanish) and neuroaffirming. My clinical focus areas include:
Trauma and EMDR therapy
Emotional regulation
Life transitions
Support for people with developmental disabilities
Caregiver support during a child’s healing journey
I have three years of clinical experience and training in EMDR therapy. I’ve worked with survivors of trauma and with families navigating difficult changes. I believe therapy is a collaborative space to move toward your most authentic self. Healing is possible when people are given a safe space to be truly seen, heard, and understood. Many struggles trace back to experiences that were never fully processed; I’m here to help you process, integrate, and move forward.
